Nyakundi has defended himself asking how a warrant was issued against him, yet he had never been processed to appear at the Milimani Law Courts. According to him, the matter that he is accused of commenting on is currently active at the Kibera Law courts and the necessary procedure was followed.
2. I would like @DCI_Kenya, @ODPP_KE and @dkmaraga to investigate how a warrant of arrest has been issued against me yet I have never been processed to appear at the Milimani law courts for plea over a post that a KRA manager died of Covid19 #DCIODPPHandsOffNyakundi

Some Kenyans on Twitter have expressed concerns over his arrest using the hashtag #DCIODPPHandsOffNyakundi, saying that the authorities want to silence him for telling the truth.
Why Does the DCI and ODPP like harassing Bloggers? Is this a move meant to Silence the Truth? ? #DCIODPPHandsOffNyakundi

Its so invalid to harass bloggers..bloggers are our eyes that see and give information of where we can't reach as common citizens..

The DCI has, however, insisted that he should present himself at the nearest Police station immediately.
