A Kenya Airways employee has been suspended indefinitely for allegedly recording and sharing a video clip on social media, the arrival of a China Southern Airline plane at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) with 239 passengers on board.
In a letter addressed to Mr Gire Ali, Chief human resource Evelyne Munyoki said, “Following a report of video of China Southern flights arrival at JKIA and circulation of the video clip widely on social media and your alleged involvement in the matter, it has been decided that you be suspended from duty with effect from Feb 27.”

Ms Munyoki further claims that the suspension is in line with the company HR policy manual and asked that Gire avail himself to the investigating team during the period of suspension.
