Blogger Robert Alai was on Tuesday released on Sh300,000 bail after being charged with two accounts: the intent of helping the terrorist group Al Shabaab and disclosing information of a deceased police officer to the public via his Twitter account.
Alai had earlier shared a picture highlighting improper handling of dead police officers whose vehicle run over an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) in the Wajir Attack.
He denied the charges before magistrate Francis Andayi at a Milimani court and has been released on a bond of Sh 500,000 and a cash bail of Sh300,000.
Alai’s case will be heard on August 8th 2019.
